Catalogue Note

Literati (Bunjinki) style. The literati style bonsai was inspired by the trees depicted in Chinese literati paintings. The tree trunk is typically straight until its highest point, and then branches out laterally. This bonsai features a Hong Kong style, its form rather unusual.

The Hong Kong Pine produces an abundance of buds, requiring regular trimming of unwanted leaves. Frequent maintenance is part of the joy of owning a Hong Kong Pine.
