Catalogue Note

Slanting (Shakkan) style. The tree is split into two trunks, one drifting laterally and the other growing upwards, giving the bonsai two forms. The Ponamella pragiliagagnep features fascinating grooves and crevices on its body that evoke the style of Chinese ink-wash paintings.
