the pear-shaped body of square section rising from a slightly splayed foot to a waisted neck and galleried mouthrim of corresponding form, the sides cast with a pair of taotie mask handles suspending a loose ring, the bronze patinated to a reddish-brown colour with green encrustation

there is extensive oxidisation. there are dents and bruises to the surface, especially the reverse, where there is a 3.5cm bruise, but overall good condition.
