  • bronze
of rectangular form, the box supported on four stylised scroll feet, all four sides pierced and reticulated with floral and foliate scrolls, the cover comprising four panels and a flat rectangular top, the sides similarly reticulated with meandering floral and foliate scrolls, the corners cast with a mythical beast with an upward-turning nose, the patina with malachite-green encrustation

Condition

There is a 4cm by 4cm loss to the cover. There is a 1cm crack to the front left side and a crack to the back right foot, Other minor cracks and chips. Extensive malachite-green oxidisation.
