Condition

Please note that the cover may be a match to the jug as the border on the cover does not match the border on the jug; yet the painting on the cover is very consistent with the painting on the sides of the jug and the cover sits perfectly on the jug. There is an approximate 3/4-inch chip mostly to the interior of the rim, which is not disfiguring from the exterior. There are some minor glaze abrasions to the spout and an approximate 1/2-inch chip to the edge of the spout. There is an approximate 1-inch long firing crack running down the strainer from the rim, which has been partially restored. There is a 2 1/2-inch long chipped area to the foot rim, which is partially apparent from the exterior. The cover has some very minor glaze abrasions and an approximate 1-inch chip to the underside of the rim, only very little visible from the exterior.
