the five-pillar twin fusée movement with verge escapement, bell striking on the hour and the half hour with a repeat cord. The dial signed Willm Creak / LONDON.
Condition
The case in overall good restored condition. Painted surface appears to have some original decoration but with extensive inpainting and restoration to painted surface. Painted surface is stable. Finials possibly replaced. Mechanism appears to be original to the case; however, we would recommend one ask a clocjk restorer about the inner workings of the mechanism.

William Creak is listed on page 70 of Baillie's "Clockmakers of the World" Volume 1. He is described as a fine maker and was active between 1754 and 1763.
