each modelled standing on a marbelized rectangular plinth moulded with a band of acanthus.
Condition
Both lions with some minor and occasional flaking to the black, brown and green enamels, specifically on the paws, fur and acanthus leave molds.
The lion on the left in the catalogue illustration: There is an extended hairline crack running from one of his toes up his leg, which is resting on the ball. There is restoration to his back, starting from where his mane ends running across his back and continuing on his tail; his tail is completely restored and oversprayed, possibly covering a break or a hairline crack.
The lion on the right in the catalogue illustration: His tail is restored.
