Oil on canvas, lined. White abrasions on the left edge and flattened impasto throughout. There is a widely-spaced web of craquelure. Surface dirt throughout. Under UV light, multiple areas of inpainting in the background, especially along the upper right and left edges, around the dog's proper left ear, and along the top and right edges.
