Condition

Overall good restored condition; the top with a brace to the underside to correct warpage; each flap inset with a wood batten to the underside along the inside edges at join with hinges probably to correct warpage or old breaks and with subsequent inpainting to the veneers above the batten; back right corner of frieze with a 4-inch loss to stringing of veneer to the lower edge; small loss to stringing to top front left corner of top; small loss to front bottom edge of right corner of frieze; legs sturdy; some old marks, nicks and wear to extremities.
