Description

each printed and painted with birds perched upon flowering branches issuing from vases, affixed with lion's mask handles.

Condition

Both vases have some very minor and occasional surface scratching. One vase has an approximate 6-inch firing crack running across its base, issuing further associated hairline cracks on either end of the firing crack, curving up the base and into the lower body, which all have been restored. The same vase has a restored flat chip to the footrim. Both covers' knops have been off and restored back on with some further retouching to the enamels.One cover has a bruise crack to the flange and a restored chip to the flange. The other cover has several small restored chips to the underside rim of the cover and the flange.
