Description

each decorated on the front and reverse with a shaped cobalt-blue panel patterned with gilt foliate scrolls and reserved with blossoms, the swelling lower body with panels of stylized flowers alternating with diamond devices.

Condition

The bottom portion of the vase from where the handles are attached down to the base has been restored and partially re-gilt; the restoration is well-done. It is impossible to determine the exact nature of the underlying damage. There is also restoration to the rim, possibly covering chip/s or break/s; the restoration is very well done. There is some minor rubbing to the original gilding.
