Catalogue Note

The pseudonymous surname of 'Visiak' was used from 1910 onwards by Edward Harold Physick (1878-1972), the English writer and authority on Milton. His biography of the great writer, The Mirror of Conrad, a copy of which is included in this lot, was first published in 1955. For a letter by Conrad to Visiak see lot 369.
