Catalogue Note

Kate Quill was an American fan of Conrad's work, living in Nashville, Tennessee. She had sent Conrad verses by the Tennessee-educated poet David Morton (1886-1957), whose first volume Ships in Harbor, and Other Poems, was published in 1920.
