For if one's friendships are the gift of the Gods the place where such friends as you two dwell must have something of the nature of a temple..."), 3 pages, 4to, both on headed stationery of Capel House, Orlestone, near Ashford, but the second letter written from Spring Grove, Wye, 8 September 1917 and 27 June 1919, one letter splitting at folds

Colvin had a lifelong passion for Keats. He edited Keats's letters in 1891, the poems in 1915, and published a biography, John Keats, his Life and Poetry, his Friends, Critics and after-Fame, in 1917.
