the first encouraging the publication of an American edition of the collected works of her husband, Arthur Symons, the second discussing her acting career and his own work for the stage ("...I begin to believe that I shall never achieve a play..."), and the third on the Symons's purchase of the Conrads' car ("...I do hope you will find the car as sympathetic and pleasant to drive as we have done..."), 6 pages, 4to and 8vo, Capel House, Orlestone, and Oswalds, Kent, 17 June 1913 to 31 August 1922, with two autograph envelopes, jagged edges to two letters where integral blanks removed

Catalogue Note
Rhoda Symons, née Bowser (1874–1936), had married Arthur Symons (for whom see lot 262) in 1901. She trained as a violinist but her great love was for the theatre. She had a modest career on the professional stage, appearing in some dozen productions between 1912 and the early 1920s.
