Catalogue Note
Described by Cagle as the 'American edition of the "other stories"' from Typhoon and other stories, the text follows that of the English edition though, as noted by Cagle 'in some few instances it reflects an intermediate state between the serial and first English edition. As is usual with Conrad's texts, the author's final revisions made in proof did not find their way into the American edition'. Cagle notes that the second impression was issued in two bindings. The copy offered here is an example of the 'gift binding'.
