Catalogue Note

The review slip notes that the book is 'furnished for editorial purposes' and suggests that any review should mention Macmillan, their address 'and the price of the book which is 1.25'. Cagle notes that the first American edition was set from uncorrected proofs and varies substantially from the English text. Keating suggests 650 copies were published (compared with 1000 copies of the English edition).
