Overall good condition. The piece opens along the center line and divides in two elements. The overall surface with light scratches, consistent with gentle use and age. The catalogue photograph shows the work with minor tarnish. The work has recently been cleaned for the exhibition. Two minor dents in the lower portion of the egg, the largest measuring approximately 5/8 inches diameter.
