Condition

Very good original overall condition. The leather is original and has acquired a beautiful patina. The leather surface with some areas of discoloration and minor surface staining, consistent with age and gentle use. The seat back and seat with minor crazing consistent with the aging process of the material and gentle use. The leather of seat is slightly loose from the compression of the seat filling as a result of use. The leather throughout the chair shows a history of sensitive use and care. The wooden surface with some light surface scratches and minor scattered abrasions, consistent with age and gentle use. With a few light areas of discoloration to the wood, as seen on catalogue illustration. There are a few minor irregularities inherent to the wood. One minute loss to the proper left front corner, at the bottom of the armrest, measuring approximately ½ x ¼ inches. One minor crack to the back of the proper right armrest, measuring approximately ½ inches. The top surfaces of the armrests with minor rubbing to the finish, as expected from use. Some minor stains to the base of the feet, concentrated to the upper portion of interior edge of the proper left foot. When examined in person, this chair shows wonderful age and patina throughout. A deeply sculptural armchair in beautiful original condition.
