Condition
Overall very good condition. The wooden elements of the frame are slightly more red when viewed first hand than they appear in the catalogue illustration. The frame with minor surface scratches, minor discoorations, nicks, a few minor abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. With one abrasion to the lower portion of the proper left arm, measuring approximately 1 1/2 inches in length. The backrest with a minor chip along the joint at the proper back right corner. The back of the sofa is excuted in a variant wood indicating the that the sofa is intended for use against the wall. The upholstery is later and is executed in manner consistent with the original design. The current upholstery with minor surface dirt consistent with age and gentle use. This sofa design is designed with an attention to both function and as well as form. A nice example of Henningsen's aesthetic.
