Condition

Basket is in good overall condition with some wear consistent with age including light staining and minor stitch loss. The basin of the basket is dusty, and there is slight rigidity to the basin and walls likely due to the humid environment in which it was kept by Mrs. Mellon. This is a very handsome example of its type, with tight consistent weave and classic decoration.
