painted with tulips and flower sprays, inscribed beneath the spout in gilding Thomas Griffiths above the date 1839, fitted with a conforming metal liner. 2 pieces.
Condition
Please note that the liner in the jug was not removed for examination. There is some minor crazing overall, which has partially discolored. The handle has been broken off and restored back. There is a 1/2-inch flat chip to the underside of the spout that has been restored and a further approximate 1-inch haircrack running down the edge of the spout. There is an approximate 2-inch and another 4 1/2-inch haircrack running down the side of the rim. There is some minor flaking to the pink enamels in the flower paintings and some very minor wear to the purple enamels at the rim edges.
