- length of heart-shaped box 3 in.
- 7.6 cm
comprising: two silver-mounted basket-molded boxes modelled as either a heart or a chest, a silver-gilt-mounted basket-molded box modelled as a trunk, a gilt-metal-mounted basket- and prunus-molded box and a silver-mounted double box, the first two with marks for Paris (1756-62), the double box with marks for Paris (1753) and indistinct maker's mark.
Condition
Heart-shaped box: generally good condition.
Chest-shaped box:3/4-in. fine haircrack to the side at the back.
Casket-shaped box: generally good condition.
Basket- and prunus molded box:Minor 3/4-in. haircrack to the side.
Double box:minor 1-in. fine haircrack extending from the right diagonally towards the center of the left box.
