Description

  • length 3 1/2 in.
  • 8.8 cm
of flattened barrel-form, molded around the exterior with with scrolling flower sprays between gilt and sepia bands, each cover molded with either a stag or a boar hunting scene and the interior of each box painted with a faux bois ground.

Condition

There is a minor fine 1-in. haircrack extending downwards from the rim of one box the front side; the other box has two minor firing cracks to either end of the oval rim; some minor rubbing to the gilt bands and a minor patch of wear to the glaze on either flattened side.
