Description

each modelled with a gosling perched upon its back forming the knop of the cover, crossed-swords mark in underglaze blue, incised numeral 40 or 46.
Condition
The cover with brown feathers is broken in half and repaired. The gosling finial has its head restored and the body may be reaffixed to the cover. The other cover also has the gosling's head restored. There are restored chips to both inner front edges of this cover.
Birds - the one with the brown breast is in good condition. The other is in good condition with just a minor chip to the flange.
