comprising: a figure of Autumn, a figure of Summer, and a figure with a scythe inscribed 'Mower.'
Provenance
The mower: D. M. & P. Manheim, New York
Condition
The Summer: the front of her hat is restored. She has been broken off her ankles and restored back; the restoration extends to the rocky base. There is a minuscule chip to the edge of her skirt at the back. The figure has also possibly been off the square base and restored back. There are several chips or flat chips to the edge of the square base.
The Autumn: There is an approximate 1 1/2-inch section at the rim of his hat in the front has been broken and restored back. There are several tiny chips and glaze chips at the edge of his hat in the back, which have been re-painted. The rim edge of his wine glass has a tiny chip. There is some flaking to the brown and green enamels. The square base has several tiny chips, pinhead chips or glaze chips along the edges.
The Mower: Some typical occasional chips or losses to the edges of the leaves and flowers. There are five pinhead chips to the lower edge of the base and a 1/8-inch flat chip to one upper corner of the base. Some minor flaking to the black enamel on his hat and shoes. The lower tip of his stick resting on the grass has been broken off and glued back.
