modelled by Johann Wilhelm Lanz, planting a tree, lion rampant mark in underglaze-blue.

Condition

There is some flaking to the green enamels on the figure's clothes, tree, flower pot and the base, some of which have been touched up and some further very minor flaking to the brown enamel on the flowerpot. His hat is completely restored, possibly covering a break and/or chips and a further pinhead chip to the edge of his hat in the back. There is a minuscule chip to the edge of his ponytail. His left hand is restored. The upper tip of the tree with the flowers appear to have been broken off and restored back, where the gardener is holding the tree with his left hand. Three areas on the edge of his coat in the back have restoration, possibly covering breaks and there are several small chips to the edge of his coat in the back. The base has some very minor wear to the gilding along the edges and there is a tiny chip to the edge of the base.
