- height 6 5/8 in.
- 16.8 cm
from the Cris de Paris series, modelled by Johann Joachim Kändler, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to back of the base.
Condition
There is restoration to the whole left side of the map including the seller's right hand and a further tiny chip to the lower left edge. There are some minor chips to the applied leaves on the base.

This figure was modelled from the engravings of Comte de Caylus (1692-1765), published by Fessard between 1737 and 1746, after the drawings by Edme Bouchardon (1698-1762). The Bouchardon drawing for the mapseller is illustrated by Len and Yvonne Adams in Meissen Portrait Figures, p. 93
