the base with impressed Gardner in Cyrillic, St. George and Dragon marks and numeral 8, the cover painted with numeral 19 beneath an indistinct Cyrillic letter.

Condition

Cover: the vine/stem is a wholly or partially made-up restoration, the overspray extending down and covering several grapes beneath it, one of which has a 1/2-in. chip; there are some losses and restoration to the tendrils issuing from the stem; there is restoration to a small clump of four grapes beneath the end of the vine knop - one grape has been off and restored back, the overspray covering the grapes around it; there is a 3-in. area, a 2-in. area and a 1-in. area of chipping and a 1/2-in chip to the flange. Tureen: 2-in haircrack to the side, visible on the interior and a 1 1/2-in area of chipping to the rim; some overspray covering some restoration to the grapes around the rim.
