Description

  • length across handles 13 3/4 in.
  • 35 cm
painted with holzschnitt Blumen and set on either side with a mask handle, the cover applied with flowering stems and surmounted by a partridge knop, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, inscribed F, the tureen and cover with Pressnummer 97.

Condition

One handle of the tureen has been off and glued back into place; some flaking to the yellow enamel of the daffodil. The beak of the bird knop is a made-up restoration; some minor chips to the petals of the applied flowers. Some minor rubbing to the gilt rims.
