Condition

Latin American School, 19th century, The Plantation: 18 1/8 by 22 in. (46 by 55.9 cm) Oil on lined canvas. Shiny varnish, relatively clean surface. Under UV light, there are scattered spots of inpainting throughout, though especially in the sky. Captain James E. Alexander, A West Indian Residence: Not examined out of frame. Sheet has faded. A few spots of discoloration, either foxing or potentially old, dead mold.
