Description
- pearlware
comprising: a footed oval compote, four oval dishes and nine dessert plates, impressed Davenport anchor mark. 14 pieces.
Condition
All with some very minor flaking to the brown enamel along the rim edges.
Footed oval compote: a large section of the compote over the stem has restoration; it is possible that it may have had multiple chips and restored back. There is a pinhead chip to the foot.
Four oval dishes: Some minor scrathes to the enamels consistent with use. One has very minor flaking to the enamels which was possibly caused by crazing; it is not disfiguring. One has a 3-inch long haircrack running from the footrim across the base. Another one with three small chips to the footrim.
Nine dessert plates: All with some varying degrees of stacking wear in the cavetto area and very occasional flaking to the green enamels. Two plates, each with an approximate 5 by 2 inch restored section at the rim. Another plate with an approximate 1-inch restored rim chip and a touched-up small area in the cavetto, possibly covering flaking to the enamel.
