Description

  • height 3 1/8 in.
  • 7.9 cm
modelled as a monk carrying a wheatsheaf concealing a woman on his back, his hooded head and a florette forming the stoppers, the underside of the domed base painted with a trailing flowering branch.

Condition

There is an approximate 1/4 by 1/4 inches flat chip to the edge of the base. Tips of two pointed edges of the wheatsheaf are broken off; the broken pieces are lacking. The broken off wheat edges are not very disfiguring as they are closer to the monk's back, beneath the hidden lady.
