the first painted on either side with a Chinaman in an oriental landscape or a figure rowing a boat, the second painted in Chinese Transitional style with various figures and plants.

Condition

The larger bowl: an approximate 5-in fine forking haircrack to the cavetto area of the bowl; two minor 1/4-in. chips to the foot, a minor 1/4-in. chip and some minor typical glaze chipping to the rim edge. The smaller bowl: Several minor pinhead chips to the rim and some typical minor flaking to the tin glaze. Otherwise, generally good condition.
