each piece finely painted, by Thomas Pardoe and William Weston Young, with a flower specimen, titled on the reverse, within a brown-edged rim, comprising: two 11-inch oval shaped dishes, two 9 3/4-inch oval shaped dishes, four dessert bowls and four dessert plates, one 12-inch oval dish with impressed SWANSEA, one dessert plate with Weston Young's script and the rest with Pardoe's script title inscriptions in red or brown. 12 pieces.

Condition

11 inch dishes - both have flaking to the enamels on the rim. One has a 1 1/4 inch rim hair crack and a minor scratch on the painted flower. The other has minor knife nicks to the enamel of the flower. 9 inch dishes - both have enamel flakes to the rims. One has a minor firing crack across the footrim, just visible on the front. The other dish has a 3 inch haircrack to one end and a 2 inch haircrack to the other end. Dessert bowls - all four have some discoloration to centers and minor enamel flaking to rims. Two have minor faint star cracks to centers. Plates - three have discoloration to centers. All four have minor enamel flaking to the rims. One has a 1 inch rim haircrack. One has two shallow rim chips. One also has a patch of discoloration to the rim. The fourth has a 2 inch discolored haircrack to the rim and some minor wear to the painted flower.
