each piece enamelled and gilt with the monogram MPC, comprising: a soup tureen and cover, a square salad bowl, four platters in two sizes, seventy-three plates or soup plates. 80 pieces.
Condition
Please note this lot comprises 74 pieces not 80 as listed in the catalogue.
There is some minor rubbing to the gilding on the rims throughout.
Soup tureen - good condition
Soup tureen cover - minor firing haircrack under the knop
Salad bowl - good condition
Platters - all in good condition
12 Soup Plates:
One has some grey staining cause by stacking
Five are in good condition
Two have some grey staining and a small rim chip
One has two 3/8 inch rim chips
One has a 1/4 inch rim chip
One has a 1/8 inch rim chip
One has some grey staining and several rim chips.
Fifty Five Plates:
31 are in good condition
8 each have a 3/8 inch rim chip
3 each have some grey staining caused by stacking wear
one has a 1 inch haircrack to the rim
5 have several small rim chips
2 each have a 1/2 inch rim chip
2 each have a 1/8 inch rim chip
One is cracked across the center
One plate has a central monogram within a shield and a different border to the rim than the other plates- this plate has a restored rim chip. Please note there are 67 plates and soup plates not 73 as listed in the catalogue entry.
