Together with a Neoclassical blue and gray-painted tabouret, early 19th century; and a Louis XVI style polychrome-painted tabouret. 4 pieces.

Condition

Height of Neoclassical stool 17 1/2 in.; height of Louis XVI style stool 20 in. Circular tabouret with losses to carving and wood in areas throughout, some remnants of gilding, one leg with restored break, scattered old worm damage, redecorated. Louis XVI style tabouret with tapestry with losses, chips, and abrasions, wear to paint. Smallest with legs blocked, scattered old worm damage mostly to underside, some losses to wood, most to tips of feet and to corners and edges. The Italian polychrome painted one, some loss to tip of one leg, and some loss to one corner of seat, wear to paint. All with scattered age and construction cracks, dents and abrasions, all consistent with age and use.
