each piece painted with an arrangement of flowers and fruit, comprising: two écuelles, covers and stands, four oval 11 1/2-inch oval dishes, a footed centerpiece bowl, four shell-shaped dishes, four square canted dishes and thirty-six plates, impressed numeral 2. 55 pieces.

Condition

All with some varying degrees of rubbing to the gilding, mostly to the rim edges and the cavetto area, which is consistent with use. Otherwise, all in generally good condition, except: Two écuelles, covers and stands: One ecuelle with several very short haircracks running down the rim. One stand has restoration at the rim covering approximately 3/4 of its circumference. The other has some flaking to the green and purple enamels and a 1-inch haircrack running down from the rim towards the center. Four oval 11 1/2-inch oval dishes: One has a 4 by 2 inch restored area at the rim, a few patches of discolored crazing and minor flaking to the enamels in the central painting. Footed centerpiece bowl: There is a restored area, measuring approximately 6 inches by 4 inches at the rim and continuing towards the center of the bowl, probably covering a break; the restoration is old and has discolored. Four shell-shaped dishes: One with areas of flaking to the green enamel. Two dishes, each with an approximate restored 6 by 1 inch area at the rim and an associate 3/4-inch rim chip; of which one also has several haircracks curing around the cavetto area and center. The fourth dish has restoration at the rim, covering approximately 1/2 of its circumference, possibly covering haircrack/s or chips; the same dish also has discoloration to its center. Four square canted dishes: One has a 1 by 1-inch restored area at the rim. Two, each with restoration covering the whole rim edge, possibly to cover up enamel flakings, of which one has further touch ups to the gilding on the central border. Thirty-six plates: Some occasional speckling and crazing. One has a very fine 1-inch haircrack running down the rim. Another has a 2-inch haircrack running down the rim and an associated pinhead chip. One has an approximate 1/5-inch rimchip, what appears to have been previously restored. One with a pinhead chip to the rim edge. One plate with a 3 by 1 inch restored area at the rim and an associated small chip which is mostly to the underside of the rim; the same plate with a fine 2-inch haircrack running down the rim and another small rim chip, which has been regilt. One plate with overall restoration to rim edge and touch ups to the gilding to the gilt borders in the center, which are old and discolored. One plate has a 2-inch restored haircrack and associated chip to the rim edge.
