Condition

Overall good condition. Minor losses to gilding and polychromy overall. The multiple arms were cast separately and permanently joined to the body. The attributes were crafted separately and inserted into the hands, some are missing. Hole at center of back indicates possible missing attribute. The baseplate has been removed and reattached.

Catalogue Note

Finely cast with the bull-headed dharmapala standing with sixteen feet upon a group of birds, animals and divinities, wearing a garland of severed human heads, his primary hands holding the katrika and skull cup, his remaining thirty-two hands radiating around him holding various attributes, a flayed elephant skin draped over his shoulders.
