Condition

(The first) Recto: Gouache over pencil on paper, unframed. Sheet is adhered to mat, verso not visible. Surface in generally good condition, colors are vibrant and fresh. Sheet is deckled, some surface dirt visible. Remnants of overmat visible at extreme edges of sheet, especially across the top. Two inch ghost of previous tape visible at extreme left and right center edge. Verso not visible. (The second). Recto: Black crayon on paper, unframed. Sheet is adhered to mat and overmat, verso and extreme edges not visible. Surface in generally good condition, lines are crisp. Some mat and light stain. Scattered areas of foxing visible throughout the sheet. Verso not visible.
