Catalogue Note
Isadora Duncan was an American dancer who became popular for her distinct style that focused on natural movement instead of the rigid technique of traditional ballet. Although Antoine Bourdelle dedicated more than 350 drawings to the dancer, this particular composition was replicated in the famous poster of 1921: Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Isadora Duncan et son école de danse.
