Condition

Executed on paper laid down on canvas (not lined). There are a few spots with craquelure, notably toward the edges and in the center of the upper left quadrant. A close inspection reveals an old tear running diagonally across the upper left corner with some associated lifting and a sinuous old tear running horizontally from the lower left edge with an associated spot of paint-loss (where the grain of the canvas is exposed). Under UV light: a line of fluorescence runs across the right part of the upper edge (including over the framer's tape), though a masking layer of varnish is difficult to read through. This work is in overall good stable condition.
