Condition

Executed on cream wove paper. The sheet is t-hinged to a mount at two places on the top edge of the verso of the sheet, and remnants of tape from a previous mounting are present around the extreme perimeter of the verso. Surface in generally good condition. The bottom edge is deckled and an original watermark is visible toward the bottom edge of the composition. Fine web of pigment separation in the more thickly applied pigments, mainly pale greens at center and left and in the whites. Possibly two areas of pigment loss below the chin on both figures. The sheet is slightly undulated but otherwise fine.
