Condition

Oil on paper laid down on canvas. There do not appear to be traces of retouching visible under UV light. There is undulation to the extreme left and right corners, with associated fine creases, and associated tears and pigment losses predominantly to the upper right corner. A vertical fine line of craquelure approximately 2 inches long towards the centre of the extreme left edge. A fine repaired tear to the skirt of the second to left figure in the foreground. Two raised dents towards the lower left corner. This work is in generally good condition.
