Condition

Oil on paper mounted on canvas. The edges are reinforced with tape. The pigments are bright and fresh. There are some very faint flattened creases in the sheet in the center of the composition which are inherent to the mounting process in addition there are some tiny pindots in the pigment at upper right and center right and in the sky to the left of the tower. There is a thin vertical scratch with associated tiny spots of paint loss in the lower right corner which bisects the artist's signature and a thin t-shaped repaired tear from the center of the left edge. Under UV light there is a thin layer of varnish which impedes a thorough inspection although a thin line of fluorescence running horizontally across the composition from the center right edge indicates some prior restoration. Overall this work is in good, stable condition.
