Condition

The canvas is lined. According to Madame Grammont-Camoin this work was one of several canvases cut into 4 pieces by the artist in 1914 and reconstructed by "le Père Soulier", probably signed after the reconstruction. The edges are reinforced with tape. The surface of the work is textured with areas of lively impasto. The pigments are fresh. Under UV light thin lines of inpainting associated with the reconstitution of the work are visible. There are also some old, thin lines of restoration along left and right edges to address prior frame abrasion. Overall this work is in fair condition.
