Condition
The canvas is lined. There is a thick layer of milky varnish preventing the UV light from fully penetrating, however UV examination does reveal lines and spots of retouching intermittently along the upper edge, along the left and right edges some further minor spots. Some lines, the longest of which measuring approximately 4.5cm and spots of retouching along the lower edge, some coinciding with loss of thick pigment, and some just above the signature. Some areas of stable crauquelure and shrinkage in places. The colours are vivid and this work is in overall good condition.
