Condition

The canvas is not lined. UV inspection reveals some scattered lines of retouching, most prominently to the centre of the tree trunk, a 2cm horizontal line associated with some further fluorescence running towards the centre of the right edge. A further spot of retouching towards the upper left corner, apparently associated with pigment loss. There are some fine lines of slightly raised but stable craquelure, most prominently towards the upper left corner, along the upper edge and to the centre of the blue sky. There are two small spots of pigment loss towards the centre of the lower edge. A further small loss towards the lower right corner, and one to the upper centre of the yellow field. A spot of dirt to the centre of the blue sky. Otherwise this work is in overall good condition.
