Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is an old layer of varnish preventing the UV light from fully penetrating, however there do appear to be fine lines of old retouching in areas to the bust and head of the sitter and also to the upper right quadrant of the composition. There is some frame rubbing to the extreme edges. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
