Catalogue Note
Joan Perucho Gutiérrez, was one of the most important Catalan novelists, art critics and poets. He extensively wrote on various artists and how they sought to return to man's origins, and on Miró he notes: 'If there is any one name that is closely linked with the physical root of a land or a landscape it is unquestionably that of Joan Miró' (in the essay Joan Miró i Catalunya, 1968).
